Information

RECOACTIV® Recovery Renal is a high-calorie feed for cats with chronic renal failure and loss of appetite. The intense taste note counteracts the altered taste sensation due to ureaemia and stimulates food intake.

Due to high energy density at reduced phosphate levels, the product supports the weight gain of malnourished cats. It can be administered as a complete feed or tube food and covers the complete nutritional requirements in acute phases.

The recipe contains important vitamins and trace elements in food quality – free of grain, sugar, colorants and preservatives. A scientific study by FU Berlin confirms that RECOACTIV® promotes water absorption and significantly stimulates appetite.

Feed

Feeding recommendation

RECOACTIV® Recovery Renal can be given as a pure feed or as a supplement to the feed. Shake the bottle vigorously before use.

Fresh water should always be offered freely. It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before use or before extending the feeding period.

At room temperature, acceptance is highest. In case of insufficient food intake, it is recommended to heat the product before administration and administer it pure - for example, by heating a plate under warm water and applying the product there.

In the case of critical food refusal, it has proven useful to successively have the product swallowed by the finger or to add it to the mouth by syringe (without cannula!) until the animal gets used to the product and eats again independently.

After initial stirring, store at 4-7° C. and consume within 10 days.
